Your computer is constantly at high risk of data loss.

    1. Intentional or accidental deletion of a file or program. 2. Misplacement of CDs or memory sticks. 3. Inability to read unknown file formats. 4. Power failure or software crash/freeze: not saving data to permanent memory. 5. Hardware failure: e.g., a hard disk head crash. 6. Software bugs or poor usability: not confirming a file delete command. 7. Data corruption: file system or database corruption. 8. Disaster: natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, tornados, fires, etc. 9. Crime: theft, hacking, sabotage, etc. - malicious acts such as worms, viruses, hackers, or theft of physical media.

The most effective way to recover from data loss is to regularly back up your computer and store the backup image file in a physically separate location. Should the need arise, you can simply restore the image with a single click to retrieve any lost files or data.

If you have previously created a disk image with Todo Backup, there are five instances when you might want to restore the backup image, as outlined below:

Case 1: Restore system state.
