A lot of people know how to back up and restore an iPhone with iTunes or iCloud. But few know how to extract specific data, like photos, from an iPhone backup. There are three ways to do this:
The first, and most direct way, is to extract the photos from the iPhone backup directly with an iPhone Backup Extractor. The second option is to restore your photos from iCloud Drive if you had saved them there. However, this will overwrite all the data on your existing iPhone, which is why we don't recommend it.
Now, there are only two options left to achieve that. Please read the posts below and choose the one you want to use.
As mentioned earlier, the most direct way to extract pictures from an iPhone backup is to use an iPhone Backup Extractor. The best part is that it lets you preview the images before recovery. This way, you don't have to worry about retrieving a large number of unwanted items.
