Partition Magic is a significant partition adjustment software developed by Symantec, mainly used for Windows 98, Windows 2000, and Windows XP. After being acquired by Symantec, Norton Partition Magic was never updated. You may still be able to use it on Windows 10, but due to instability, you're likely to encounter problems or even system crashes when attempting to adjust partitions on Windows 10.
Thus, it's strongly recommended not to use it to resize Windows 10 partition. In this article, I'll show you how to adjust Windows 8 partition with a free alternative disk management software - AOMEI Partition Assistant Standard (free).
As an alternative to Partition Magic, the free AOMEI Partition Assistant can provide you with an easy and safe way to manage your disk partitions, and it works well on Windows 10. For instance, it allows you to extend system partition, create, delete, resize/move, copy, merge, split partitions under Windows 10.
First step: Shrink the partition to make room for expanding it.
If there's enough unallocated space on the hard drive to expand the target partition, skip to Step 2 to proceed. If not, free up some first:
Step 2: Extend the target partition.
Right-click the partition you want to expand, and select “Resize/Move.”
Drag the partition handle to the unallocated space to extend the partition.
Step 3: Save all changes.
Click the Run Task button, and then click Apply to save all your changes.

Aside from disk partition management, partition software also offers additional features such as a Partition Recovery Wizard to restore deleted or lost partitions, and Disk and Partition Copy Wizard for upgrading or backing up disks.
